In the spirit of the CHIPUBLIB Sound Off Concert (which, may we add, is a mere SIX DAYS away) and this rainy, dreary kind of Friday that makes you want to stay in on your warm, dry couch with some Chinese or pizza or maybe both, a music-related movie recommendation:
Almost Famous. Long story short, this movie is about a teenager named William who manages to snag a job writing for Rolling Stone. It chronicles his life on the road with Stillwater, the band that he is assigned to write an article on. The story is loosely based on writer/director Cameron Crowe’s own life, since he actually did write for Rolling Stone when he was in his teens.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll find yourself singing along when their tour bus breaks into an impromptu version of “Tiny Dancer.” Grab your umbrella, head to CPL, and pick up a copy.
