The Chicago Public Library has opened an outpost in the City’s Visitor Information Center at Water Works, 163 East Pearson.  Stop by to browse the collection of best sellers and children’s books or to use one of the Internet computers to check out the Library’s online catalog.
Using the Library couldn’t be much easier – first, stop by and get your free library card. If you don’t see what you’d like on the shelves, any of the Library’s books, movies or CDs can be sent to you for pick up at the Water Works site – simply browse the Library’s online catalog at www.chipublib.org, place the desired item on hold and select “Water Works” as your pick-up location.
Hours are:Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

You know how we’re always all “Woohoo, not what you think, CDs movies, go library!!!?” (No, that was not an exact quote. We’re not that creepy). Well, we figured it was time to enlighten our loyal readers about another something special we’ve got for you here at CPL.
Music books. Like this one. So tear yourself away from Beatles Rock Band for two seconds and learn the real stuff (it actually might be easier, anyway…those drums on Rock Band are hard. Ringo = under-appreciated).
